Kitesurfing is a new and exhilarating sport and out of season the English Riviera is an ideal location with a consistent Easterly winds and plenty of room to fly!
Beginners in particular will find the Bay a good place to learn “hangtime” with sheltered winds offering you the chance to perfect the art. Once mastered it is extremely exhilarating with lots of fast runs and lots of airtime, (if you wish), a real adrenaline sport, with a fast learning curve.
You should never attempt to kitesurf until you have completely mastered the control of the kite on land. Kitesurfing should not be attempted without a rescue craft at hand.
For safety reasons we strongly recommend that kitesurfing takes place during the winter months where the wind is consistent and there’s plenty of room to get up speed and enjoy the sport.
